About the Artist

Ganine is a multifaceted artist, an Oil Painter with an extensive career in the arts. Prior to painting professionally, she was a Broadway entertainer, Radio City Rockette, Ballroom dance champion and teacher. Ganine’s energy, sensitivity and passion for life is felt in her paintings.
“I am thankful for the gift that painting has brought to my life, it is my passion. Painting engages both my brain and my heart. Learning to see as an artist opened a new world to me. I am fascinated by the way light dances and moves. I notice colors, shapes and light effects. Through performing I learned to channel my energy, make the difficult appear effortless, and the importance of the intent behind a movement to express emotion. I think of this as I translate my world through paint, as everything we are is in each brushstroke. These paintings are a reflection of my life and journey through creative expression.”
“Travel opened my eyes and heart allowing me to experience art and culture in a broader sense which has had a direct effect on my painting.” Through her work with dance championships she's been able to travel to other countries for weeks at a time and visit museums around the world. One of her favorite treats when traveling is to hire a guide who can take her on a more in depth tour at every museum she visits. Ganine likes to stand before paintings that call to her, breathe and try to go to the artist's state of mind when it was painted. "Sometimes, it's as if some of the paintings breathe and come to life in front of me," she said. "It can be a very spiritual and deeply profound experience. I love it and am so thankful I've had the opportunities to be present with some of the great works of art in history. The feeling lives inside of me as a person and as an artist.”
“I am daughter, wife, mother. I have lived in the mountains, the desert, the city, and by the sea. I see beauty all around me, in the light and in the shade, harmony through balance, oneness. I know the magic in the moment, the movement, and the joy of expression, the majesty of mother nature and the smile within. I am creative dimensionally, I am guided, I am love.”
