A Georgia Downtown of the Year, Hartwell is thriving and worth the visit. I'm delighted to share that my oil painting Vibrant Beauty received 1st place for painting and 2nd place overall in the Annual Regional Art Show at the Arts Center of Hartwell. It's a great show with many different styles of art. Everything in the show is available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Arts Center.

Oil painting classes with Ganine (Ja-neen) Giorgione Derleth at the Hartwell Arts Center begin October 5, 2026. This is a six week course, Mondays from 6-8 PM. Please call 706-436-7698 to reserve a seat or sign up through the Hartwell Arts Center Event page on Facebook. This is an introductory level class open to all levels, suggested supply list available.
